We’ve absolutely loved working with Conkers Wood and Metal Crafts and they are always our first choice whenever we’re thinking about a new piece for our home or garden. Over the years they’ve created several bespoke items for us, including a beautiful apothecary unit, a stunning round resin table that looks like the world, and a custom garden bench, along with many other pieces. Every item has been crafted to an exceptional standard and always feels truly unique and personal to us. What really sets them apart is how collaborative and helpful they are throughout the entire process. They take the time to listen, offer creative ideas, and consistently deliver exactly what we asked for - and often more than we imagined. The quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding, and it’s incredibly rewarding to have pieces that are entirely unique and made with such attention and care. We genuinely couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

"Conkers (Hayley and Eddie) were an absolute delight to work with. They created a beautiful table out of a single piece of sycamore and Eddie 'engineered' metal legs to support the considerable weight of the wood. Their enthusiasm for the quality of beautiful wood was inspiring and they were prepared to be experimental in creating something truly original and unique. Eddie's craftsmanship is rare and stunning and it has been an absolute joy to work with them both on the creation of our fabulous new table."

"Our beautiful oak anthropometer is up. These are my favourite knots & knobles & cracks (totally know my woodworking terminology!!). Made by the amazing @conkerswoodandmetalcrafts. Sadly I appear to be shrinking. And the small one is refusing to be measured!"

"I was once again wondering what on earth to get my parents for Christmas when, totally randomly, a picture of an Anthropometer popped up on Facebook! Perfect I thought, my parents are downsizing and the kitchen door frame that has all 5 of siblings and 7 grandchildren’s heights marked on it can’t go with them. But it’s so much more than that, beautifully made, unique and eye catching, it was the perfect gift. We all love it!. Allison P"

"The anthropometer has pride of place in my daughter and son-in-law's house, and is much admired by all. Both parents and my granddaughter were immediately added and the baby grandson is now on two feet and has therefore been added to the bottom end of the scale ! I rather hope it will become an heirloom ! I really appreciated that you could complete the work for me, in a very short timescale at Christmas time."

"After a frustrating search for a console table of quality large enough to use in a study, we came upon Conkers Wood and Metal Crafts at the Abingdon Craft Fair. The table we found was a masterpiece of originality, design, craftsmanship and engineering, The combination of wood and metal was perfectly balanced and the care of construction was outstanding. It now has pride of place in the study. The service from Conkers was second to none, a company to be highly recommended."

"When you ask for bespoke furniture, you dream of a piece that will give you pleasure for years to come. For this type of work, you need expert hands, Conkers have that: professional, meticulous and careful hands. But that’s not all, what if the people who make it for you are also the nicest people you can think of. Eddie and Hayley are these people. They are helping me produce a coffee table out of a rough oak slab and I only wish I had more projects to share with them."

"I commissioned a bespoke shoe rack from Eddie and Hayley, at every stage they couldn’t have been more helpful. The shoe rack was made to fit into an alcove and it does perfectly. It is of the highest quality, solidly built and incredibly stylish. I am delighted"

"Thank you for the effort and love you put into making the finishing touches to our kitchen table and bench, just perfect. We will enjoy making memories with them for many years to come"

"I commissioned Eddie to make a river table for myself and a waterfall river console table for a client. Both were complicated but Eddie and Hayley worked tirelessly to understand my needs and execute the most incredible pieces. They exceeded my expectations and are stunning works of art. Their diligence and expertise is second to none and I am thrilled. Thank you so much."

We were gifted a Conkers anthropometer in 2018 when we had our son. It was such a special gift and we get so many compliments about it. A couple of months ago we contacted Hayley and Eddie to ask them to make another one for our friends, and the whole process has been wonderful. From choosing the piece of wood, to seeing photos of progress, it’s been brilliant. It is such a stunning high quality piece that will be treasured. Thank you again
